Spent

Spent

I am an old shoe
Worn against its will
A ripped umbrella
on a rainy, windy day

I am a book without words
Picked up in interest but not read
A calvary without horses
Half ready and in stead

I am a lame leg
Useless to its user
A clothesline cut in two
Unable to dry wet clothes

I am an engineless car
Appearing above its worth
A motorless boat
Shifted by the ocean waves

I am black that has faded to white
A once bright poster in a well lit window
An orphaned girl
Abandoned by herself

I am a one dollar bill
Cashed one too many times
A fragile flower bud
that injured, never blooms

I am a wet blanket
Heavy to lift and limp
A green orange
A paradox of light

A beautifully delivered write JANINE!!....... absolutely stunning phrasing ~ compelling as you paint various images which drive home the intent behind the title itself........ and then added ambiance by your choice of picture to represent........ great word choices delivered as subtle....... all around well delivered poetic prose ~ from timing to formatting........ALL STARS....... well done....... and......WELCOME to COSMO!!.........
