This spot of melted snow

December is a month I choose to spend alone,
For some reason I invited you into my home,
Your voice sounded like an angel across the snow,
I never was a person to let my emotions show,
Then I showed you my soul,
Im cold,
Im cold,
Everything I touch turns frigid froze,
But your hands turned this ice into this feeling of warmth,
These castles of my severed past come to a crash,
As I look deep into your eyes,
The sting of the wind on my face,
Turns into your lips embrace,
My heart thaws,
I forgot it could beat,
let alone skip like a kid on the street,
When our fingers lace,
I can feel my demons start to dissipate,
Their clammy palms losing grip over me,
I pause and see what surrounds me,
surrounded by cold icy holes,
As we stand in a lake of warm melted snow
