Spring Equinox
First day of spring
Silently , with sacred privilege, I observed the bright morning sky push away the dark grey/blue nighttime veil that lay over the still dozing garden.
Silence broken by the sudden keen chatter from the waking birds ,
Above, the moon fading in the china blue sky going to rest until the evening beckons.
The day is glorious, welcoming and bright .
So long we have waited for the bleakness of winter to leave.
All too soon time presses on, as the warm spring sun begins struggling to keep its position in the now pale blue sky
And a chalky image of the moon appears from nowhere telling the setting sun to rest till tomorrow when the whole transition will occur once more.
Sleep well sun, shine gloriously moon.
