Standing Still At The Waters Of Our Awakening
Jill Tait's Slow Down Please Challenge

It shouldn't take a storm or fever
To acquire depths of the translucent sea
And comprehend that we belong
To something profound and so much deeper
Wherein the still and the silence
Reflection is found
And pollution; the nightmare
From which we awaken again to dream
It shouldn't take death's grip to remind us
How life is precious
But seldom can it be lived in the moment
Saving you cherish death as much as fear can own it
And you've let more than enough love for a lifetime in
But nothing greater than a floodΒ
To cleanse the sickness inside us
When what it takes, will take us away
At the waters of our awakening
And against the tides of standing still
