Star-Shocked

Game on

Star-Shocked

Staying so close,
While Running away.
Playing the long haul,
Like it’s a game.

Look over the fence,
See your eyes catch mine.
Keeping my cards open,
I`m passing the time.

Yeah? so you noticed,
That was the plan.
Keep track of me and lose focus.
Rock the boat.

See your look,
That character development,
Books and on paper,
I write it down.

And store it for later.

For I`m a wolf in sheepskin.
With roots tapped I`ll bloom.
And the presence that your turnover in your head,
Unsteadily perplexed.

Until we meet again.
Snakepit.
Sandpit.

And under the light of a thousand stars

Think about that.
The Fish of the Sea.

Max a subliminal message maybe theme of doomed love in life.
A learning curve of sorts, but still a captivating poem that pulled me in.
And your poem's two end lines, are tailor made for any poet to die for.
Loved it! Pinned for a reread and full marks.
Thanks Max and simply enjoy life.

Awww thanks, Shaun! Yes, love shouldn't be a game of the mind... but it turns into that sometimes, and sinfully, I enjoy it. Although I find the conclusion a bit cliche I'm glad you liked it. Your comments are really appreciated, my friend! Peace to you.
