Start over

Start over

She lays in her bed
Her eyes open wide
She cannot sleep
There’s no where to hide

She takes her mind back
She tries so hard to see
A time when she felt happy
A time when she felt free

She feels so numb
She fights everyday
To everyone who asks
She swears she’s okay

Her mind is a jumble
Of confusion and pain
Love and appreciation
For those who remain

She cares so much
She puts everyone first
She forgets her owns needs
Get completely submerged

She looks to the future
The cloudy unknown
It disappeared right before her
When she threw the first stone

The clock cannot go back
It cannot be undone
What will be, will be now
A new time has begun.

Being Me

A poem that is riddled in pain... But beautifully delivered upon the page. There was a time that I felt that way. Blessings to you x
