Somber Skies

Somber Skies

Words though tenderly adhere
Don’t comfort, those held dear
Sorrow clogs bereft eyes
Bairn drew untimely demise

Enraptured by first embrace
Awestruck by angelic face
Always attuned to bond shared
Parental love can’t be compared

Memories of soothing touch
Doting on them, ever so much
Outliving a babe heartbreaking
Deep despair, infinitely aching

Always remember someday
Somber skies fade away
You’ll reunite once more
At golden Utopia shore

The very abridged version...

The very abridged version recounting untold tragicomic storied life of Matthew Scott Harris
