Step-Bad, Step-Mad, Step-Dad, Broken-Man

When you came around, I went missing. When you became less vocal and more violent, I became less interested and more threatened. You always treated my mom like shit, well she asked for it!

My brother, sisters and I didn’t, correct me if I’m wrong! 

CoNgRaTuLaTiOnS!!!, you took an innocent child and raised a broken man. 

You took the fearless and taught them how to be scared, how fucking dare you. 

You kidnapped the purity and innocence of the most fragile and forced them to become hateful and rigid!

We deserved what all kids do, a mom, a dad, a place to feel safe and call home!

You provided nothing but insecurities and flaws, bruises and scars, misinterpretation of how love is and proof that evil truly does exist. 

We desired a loving hand, you provided a closed fist…
