Great poem! I'm sure tons of people think that way after someone new their mother or father married mainly because it's new to them, it's a whole new person. But overall, wonderful poem! I love the simplicity.

Thanks Mel , I’ve been trying to experiment with Haikus , it’s a 
5 syllable 
7 syllable 
5 syllable 
structure , it’s suppose to be simple but pack much meaning . I’m glad you enjoyed and I agree with you 100’/, as far as it being new so it could be intimidating or “ scary “
