Still A Teenager At Heart

Still A Teenager At Heart

Remembering the loving days of my youth
Love was on my mind 24/7
Every pretty girl that passed me by
Was more gorgeous that the one before
Guess what? It's still true today!
Age has no bearing
I am considered very old by most standards
But I still feel like a teenager at heart
It never leaves us, this attraction
The yearning for love, sweet love
When I was a young man
The thought of my parents making love
Was a totally foreign concept to me
It must have happened
Otherwise I wouldn't be writing this
But somehow it seems inconceivable
No! Mom and Dad? No!
Strange how we homo sapiens have evolved
The no holds barred topics of today
Can totally astound me
Topics that were never talked about ever back then
Topics that would have been considered pornographic
Are now talked about freely
In everyday conservation
Don't know about you guys
But I preferred it the way it was back then

Hello Happy Jack...

My Parents were 35 or 36 years old when they had me...

Even in my teenage years and forward, things were much more private and personal...

My mother was big on not saying to much...

Home is a very private place she would say...

If something good happens in your life, that's to never be discussed other than with the loved ones in your life and your very best friend...

If something bad happens same thing she would say...

She used to say that if people wanted people to know about their love life, sex life...

What happens in the bedroom stays in the bedroom, that should only be between the couple, don't let your life be an opened book she said...

She would many times end with Trust me...

I raised my Son and my Daughter the same way and I will raise my Granddaughter with those same values...

The World is the World as we know it and it changes all the time, but are the changes always good?

Great write!

Thank you for sharing...

Hugs...

I was born in Boston and I was raised in a different City...

My Dad was born in Canada...

I would never forget if you were my Brother...

There was such Freedom back then and a very nice and different kind of Freedom...

There was crime but so much less of it...

People's standards and self worth was much higher too...

If History repeats itself those were wonderful times, indeed!

Hello Happy Jack...

I feel so very blessed to have lived it, experienced it and my Children got to experience it also before we woke up one day and said what happened?

My Grandchildren will unfortunately only be able to hear the Stories and the very sad part is it will probably sound so make believe and that I'm only trying to lecture...

She would not understand why I wouldn't want her naked on a Stage because everyone applauds that...

There'd be nothing I could do to stop it...

She'll probably point out poems to me saying look Nana this picture is gorgeous that's me one day...

I would be fine if I dropped dead that very second  because, I don't want to see that for her...

The World speaks louder and with greater recognition than she would see and hear for me...

Unless, maybe I did a public speaking event and if Mr. King could have a dream, and his very own day and then maybe, if I got shot maybe she'd see something different afterall...

He wasn't or will be the only person with a dream...

Love ya too!

You also in mine...

Don't leave me here alone, there's not many of us left my friend...

But, no matter what, I will see you on the other side and this mess, may it all be forgotten...

Prayers for all the Children is all I could do...

Lots of Love and Hugs my dear friend!
