Still My Blushing Bride

Still My Blushing Bride

How does one describe perfection
Guess it's all in the eye of the beholder
Well this beholder sure doesn't mind holding
Her charms with her head on my shoulder

Was watching this charmer from across the room
Wanting badly to walk over and ask her
“I'd be honoured to have the next dance milady”
She appeared very shy and demure

She lowered her eyes and answered quite softly
“I'd be honoured to accept your request”
Almost swallowed my dentures and blushed
Felt like my heart jumped out of my cheat

Taking her hand as we walked to the floor
Pulled her sweet body close to mine
Always wondered what the feeling would be like
It was exquisite and oh so sublime

A moment in time that's lingered forever
What a feeling, so difficult to describe
Still watching this charmer from across the room
Fifteen years, she's been my blushing bride
