Stoic

Stoic

Guardian in masonry stone
High on pedestal throne
Sentry of eons gone-by
I see dust you cry

Ashen in rigor state
On wings of stained slate
How many stars entwine?
On granite steely shrine

Ravens take pause to bear
Unknown ciphers to declare
Dog-eared weary search
On tomb coveted perch

A place to lie in wait
Ignorant of aΒ grim fate
Extoll kin and kith
Coffer of archaic myth

Keeper of a secret tale
Stoic nary to unveil
Tears for the dead
E’ermore be shed
