Poem -

The Strength of her Past

Her smile is fading, into a frown.
She is hurting, inside and out.
She's beaten, she's bloody and bruised.
She's been neglected, hurt, and abused.
Her tear falls, it rolls down her cheek.
She lays for a moment, and gets back on her feet.
Well now she's free, with a life ahead.
Disregarding their existence, the things that they said.
Sure she's covered in scars, and yes she is hurt.
But with the lesson you gave, she's far more alert.
She's been through a lot, been through enough.
Yet when she's broken down, she'll stand right back up.
