Strong Woman

20 hours of labor
Theres no better way to thank ya.
Expect making something of myself so you can be proud.
Proud that you turned pain into joy.
I want you to brag and get goose bumps when mention me.
I watched you struggle to make a meal raising 6 kids
All of dads either dead, dead beat or doing a bid.
Superwoman you are my hero, how you did it I may never know.
What I do know is I’m thankful you never gave up. 
So many nights I watched you cry told me to always keep my head up. 
Told myself I was fed and one day I would get my bread up and give the life you deserve.
Sometimes I wanna cry when I hear your life stories.
The strength it took not to put us through the same. 
Above it all you did it on your own, alone...
