Sweet Tooth

Sweet Tooth

Just one more sliceĀ
I’ve only cut it twice
Carefully and preciseĀ
This piece should sufficeĀ
The fridge’s light guides me to paradiseĀ

I’ve learnt from the kitchen miceĀ Ā
Lessons valuable yet conciseĀ
Sneak at night to claim your prizeĀ
Watch out for mother’s eyesĀ
Then search the cabinets for hidden piesĀ

I’ll hide the cut with more frostingĀ
Explaining to mom is too exhaustingĀ
And if cake is so bad for meĀ
why do I feel such ecstasy?

My stomach is roaring, I need to be fed!
I need the sugar rushing to my head!Ā
Look! Look!
I can make strawberry juice come out of my wrists!Ā
and I bet I’d taste like cherries if we kissed!
Look! Look!
My sweet tooth is caught on a hook!
I’m sorry mom, your daughter’s a crook!
