SUMMER COMPETITION 2021
We're all waiting for the competition decision,
it's been so long since August 2020 came along;
will it be Cronick, Poe or Neville scooping prizes,
or will the judges give others wonderful surprises.
Some, like Jill, deserve a lifetime achievement award,
but let's face it - many more should not be ignored;
my words are just an up-date account of the day,
no compliments are necessary for what I have to say.
The pandemic has left everyone's resources depleted,
during that time, some wonderful work has been completed;
our thoughts are with all who have lost someone in this time,
and we will acknowledge suitably after any published rhyme.
Perhaps I shouldn't dumb myself down, I continue to try,
we're all still in the frame, regards from my wife and I.

Love how you acknowledged the many treasures this site holds, you and your wife included there Terry. These certainly have been awful times. This feels like taking stock and reminding us all to be thankful we get to share Cosmo. To be amongst the living still and the wonderful world of poetry and art.

I agree with Gwen. Thanks for writing the obvious in this poem and acknowledging they havent announced winners for over a year!!! I mean what is going on??!!

Hey TERRY!!....so sorry I missed this one yesterday.....Yeah, I know what you're feeling......but we have to bare in mind that this ALL coincided with the pandemic.....I for one believe that there should have been some kind of formal announcement about what's going on..... but it's kind of obvious that when you lose a bunch of advertisers you can't pay out what's not coming in......so for me...I agree with Gwen and Pratibha.....it's just damn lucky that we still are all alive and have a place to share art and poetry with such kind and loving souls.......and the fact that this site is still up and running is a blessing.....Thanx so much for bringing up this subject matter......it's nice to know we are all of the same mind!!......ALL STARS!!....sending lots of love your way my friend!!......T xo : )
