Summer Memories

Summer Memories

Sparkling sunlight

fluffy feathers

a swish of breezeĀ

in sunny weathers

song birds singingĀ

in branches up high

blue skies, bright sunĀ

oh for a gentle sigh

strawberries and creamĀ

served with lemonade

sat on a picnic blanketĀ

in the cooling shade

children runningĀ

laughing all around

playing hide and seekĀ

until they`re found

shapes in the cloudsĀ

or making daisy chains

and watching the trailsĀ

madeĀ by aeroplanes

these are memoriesĀ

I hold so dear

wonderful summer timesĀ

from yesteryear!
