SUMMER'S SONG

Does winter call for summer's
song
Do bare twigs mourn for
leaves long gone
Does dark hold close its
lightest heart and
Grieve it now it's gone and
past
Does music end without a
voice
Does moon regret it's reckless
choice
To rise and block the warmth
of day
And birth the shadows now at
play, and
Is the dawning filled with
pain
To bid it all begin again
The endless cycle life and
death
The birthing then the end, of
breath, and
Does a god ever forsee
The brokeness of all of we
Who feel each snap of twig
and leaf
Who wail each note of loss
and grief, then
Wander lost in each new day
Searching those we've lost,
mislaid
Flowers freshly dead in hands
To hide the graves on which
Our feet now stand

Reminds me of that poem, but damn I cant remember the name, I think it was part a movie of 3 weddings and a funeral. So sorry for your loss Marion. Here for you. Peace. Max

What an epitaph! Your power and gift of the poet burns fiercely in this. This is one hell of a poem Marion. I am so very, very sorry for your loss. I cannot begin to imagine the impact it has on you. My thoughts and prayers 🙏 are with you and have been since I heard. I have pinned this poem. Hugs 💕 xx
