Summers's Over
Not yet, in fact in my life it has been there forever,
in winter I make my own, Brits talk about the weather;
Dire Straits bring the sun in jan when the year began,
it must have been good because I still have a tan.
I lived in the sun for years, Hawaii only two levels,
twenty five degrees hovered over your food tables;
some think it's boring all the time, prefer seasons,
not so sure about falling leaves, must have reasons.
Peter Pan mentality, yes I flew thro' that open window,
Wendy and I grinned at all the suffering down below;
compassion okay, we'll be gone, what then do you say?
God, it's quiet while I'm writing this, another sunny day.
Of course, love brings the sun, our star when it begun,
clink chardonnay and smile, you'll miss me when I'm gone.Â

I think this one is very interesting. Nice to meet you Terry. Your previous poem called “ The Winged Messenger” is really good, bring us some more. Greetings from Bernadete
