Summertime

Summertime

Rise and shine its summertime
The world looks a brighter place
Flowers in bloom smell so divine
And the trees whisper with grace

Get out of bed it’s time to play
Shake off those winter blues
It’s a shame if you waste this sunny day
And miss out on the fun and barbeques

Children play happily in the sand
The skies are clear and blue
Couples strolling hand in hand
And church bells ring to "I do"

But summertime will not last
Autumn is not far away
So before the lazy days have passed
Make the most of these beautiful days

So rise and shine its summertime
Make sweet memories to last
Don’t waste away your precious time
Because today will soon be your past
