Sun and Wind
Inspired by an aesop's fable
Howling wind so strong and tough
Barters with the warming sun
âWho can take his coat?â
Smirked the wind so gruff.
Blowing harder than before
He blew with all his glory
But the coat was zipped up tight
wind chilled his very core.
The wind grew so very tired
âYour turnâ breathless he mockedÂ
âI can take his coat my friendâ
Without much force sun smiled
The wind he scoffed at this indeed
The sun needs prove his point
âMy pleasureâ said the timid sun
Knowing he would succeed

Hello Lorna and very nicely done and imagineered glad to know you had your poetry thinking cap on when conjuring up this gem and inspired by Aesop, who was once a slave then started writing...you know the rest.
And if you lose that thinking cap or even if it shrinks, you needn't worry for any theme you choose to scribe about in my book works and works well!
And have to ask did the recent windy weather also help channel your thoughts on this one.
And if you have the time check out the poem The Two Glasses by Ella Wheeler Wilcox. One of my favourite poems ever written.
Same horse different jockey, you'll know what I mean after reading it.
In the meantime wrap up well if venturing out tomorrow and you and your family have a Happy New Year's Eve!
And have one on me bonny lass!!
Shaun :) xx

Lorna I don't want to seem like some demented last word specialist here.
So I will!..
Glad to hear said thinking cap is becoming more comfortable.
And ditto for you this coming New Year my friend.

As a last word specialist myself,đ€Łđ€Ł
