SURVIVAL

SURVIVAL

You could love her if she let you
You could fall if she would see
But you hold back because shes broken
Because you need to let her be.
She is fire against the night sky
And you’d gladly ignite if she asked
But the last time you broke her so badly
She can’t seem to heal from the past
You throw seeds on dead ground
And expect her to grow
But you took the sun the day you left
And she cannot survive your snow.
