Suwannee River

As i saw the dawn then the sun came up
Way down upon the Suwannee River
I ate some liver it didn’t make me
Quiver a breeze came up
It made me shiver way down
Upon the Suwannee River
Way down upon the Suwannee River
Where are the old folks told me jokes
I sat by this old oak tree
listening to the young folks
Play their music singing and dance
Way down upon the Suwannee River
As the sunsets and the moon
And the stars shine bright
Oh how I love you Suwannee River
Way down upon the Suwannee River

Greg this has a hint or two of Huckleberry Finn and Tom Sawyer vibe to your engaging poem.
And a pleasant feel good feel to it, to feel good with after reading.
You certainly are nature's observer and I wish you well.
And congratulations on publishing your Amazon book and with nature in its title...
THE POETRY OF GREG ETSELL: THE BEST POETRY COLLECTIONS ON NATURE AND EVERYDAY WORLD
And a damned good read it is throughout Greg.
