Taken by the Woods

Taken by the Woods

Running, scared in the night, I find myself entangled in the trees

I can not breathe, I no longer have light, the sun has faded into darkness

Taken by the woods, I am panting like the running wolf, it will find me, I pray

Until the morning, I know, I will be falling, into a forbidden forest, of naked natives

Where I shall lose my soul, I beg for your forgiveness, please come for me

I should not have deceived you, I should not have gone a stray

Though my life has been perished, upon the dirt of  beaten ground, that I stand

My clothes ripped off my shoulders, my legs bleeding, from the thorns of the  raspberry vines

I can hear the coyote, and the foxes, scurry by, let the chanting of my voice send me home
