Taking steps

Endangerment and fear sparks cries of outrage,

Global catastrophes take centre stage.

The ice caps are melting, terrorists are rife

Evil is taking a hold of this precious life.

Just take a step backwards, what can we do?

Bury our heads in the ground and hope it’s not true.

This is not the answer; although it feels safe,

taking care of world instead of this strafe.

Reduce global warming if it isn’t too late,

Be kind to each other, no need for such hate.

Of course, this is easier said than done,

Take a step forward each and every one.
