TEAR DROPS OVER RIVERS...

It started slowly with a trickle, to the murky babbling Brook.
A tear shed fell from a bowed head,
A sad broken look.
It washed out with waters,
That tear drop clensed over time.
On a faster stream it traveled,
Leaving the Brook far behind.
Picking up the pace now,
Like mood from that person shed.
Liquid rippling waters,
From a tearduct that once bled.
Rivers raging on with vigour,
Through sandstone it cuts a path.
Frothing only slightly,
Like a stagnant soap filled bath.
Down a waterfall it pours,
To a lake so vast so wide.
Within those clearer waters,
A salty tear still hides.
Evaporated droplets;invisible to you and me.
Form clouds way up above us,
Blown in high winds straight out to sea.
Fluffy whites now growing darker,
High above seas or sand.
Clouds bursting spilling water,
Raining tear drops into your hand.
Maggie Evans.

Maggie! I loved this one. I had to pin it.....brilliant writing....loved it! Every tear we shed is of importance! I love the way you sum up the travel of such here in your poem. It's beautifully done. Wow! I had to read it twice. It has a slow steady quality that I love in poetic forms like this. There is a purpose....even for a tear. Thank you.....and keep writing like this! It is wonderful. Paula
