THE TEARS OF CHRIST

THE TEARS OF CHRIST

THE TEARS OF CHRIST

You know me, Marius, always done my duty
Straight down the line, I've strung 'em and nailed 'em
Time after time.  Never given a toss as to why
They earned their place on a cross.
I've heard 'em beg and plead, but mostly they just cry.
Tears of agony, rage, fright
But last night, Marius, last night I looked up at Him
And saw His tears fall.  I tell you...I shivered
Felt my very soul was being touched by those tears.
It was as if he forgave me for everything I'd done.
This Christus, This so-call 'God's Son'.
This saviour from Galilee touched a rough soldier's heart
And how could it be
That I knew, without doubt,
His tears were for me?

Hi Susan,

Very beautiful poem and story told quite well, in this inspired piece of poetry....Very religious overtone in this piece and emanating, from the soul and heart, of the writer/Poetess...Job very well done...Very play written skills, placed upon this piece..A poem, which is as pure at heart, as the person presenting it....

Sincerely,

Jim

Hey Susan,

Statement well made, on a lovely time of the year to have made it.....I don't know whether the poem was made for this day or the day for your inspiring poem... I am sure (God), just as all the readers, gave you a (5) star nomination for this piece and i would be more than happy, to be the first to offer that (5)....

Sincerely,

Jim
