Tempest

Tempest

Salty stains this dingy afloat
Sturdy solid steadfast boat
Ole seadog of aqueous frontier
Homage haven along a pier

Cast an inquiring line,
Catch of the daily brine.
Sunrise a beauteous site
As waters refract the light

A tinkle of a silvery bell
Bit O’ luck upon the swell
Supper tis in the works
But in calm, a danger lurks

Fickle tis the rip's menagerie
A squall brews upon the sea
Shattering brackish glass
Yet this tempest too shall pass
