Tempest Child

Mourn meek weeping willow,
Sullen tis skyscape billow
Incase brilliant northern star
imprinted on brail afar
Drum enrapt rooftop eaves
Raindrops hasten wayward leaves
Traverse forthwith musty path
Brace amidst solstice wrath
Come hither tempest chile,
Fleet tis dour frigid guile
Endure 'neath alabaster spill
Bequeath us mortal wintry chill

Lisa! So nice to see you once again on Cosmos, it feels like it's been ages! I haven't been posting much at the moment.Β But your work is always an inspiration. Bloody brilliant and beautiful here. Just a wonder with words, but with your legacy, why should I be surprised. AmazingΒ

thank you Marion
Just read your captivating homage to my favourite season Spring and glad to discover and read your wonderous winter poem.
Love it!
You drew me in with your beautiful and melancholy first lineΒ and progressed enchantingly.
Full honours bestowedΒ and respectfully and poetically deserved.
But it's not about stars, likes nor pins, but simply the words and one's imaginative mind behind them to shine and leap off the page.
Engaging and beauteous writing in equal measure.
Thank you Lisa, poetry kudos to you and I wish you well.
