Tempter Of Doom

Creak, creak, the demon shrieks
With a contemptuous grin, tossing tarots
Whilst his gaze is fixed upon the empty chair
Cold and paralytic, the hair stands, as if to contend
Against the one who enters through the bedroom mirror
His eyes, an open fire invitation
A gateway to an ineludible lair
Brimmed with the utmost ills and desolation
And yet in my mind's eye, I neglect to look away
His visage, a contortion of sacrilege and torture
Though his cynical grimace mimics joy
Like the infliction of torment devours his own
Wherein the absence of God, retribution is void
And in the decrepitude of destiny you appear
So the lost may wander furthermore
Is it not enough that I dwell in the darkness here
Or is there another place you want me to be alone

Powerful write my friend, I know this darkness so well. But the light will find a way to ponder through the darkest of darkness. Love the power behind this..Â
