Tense Past?
Someone in the group "Poetry Lovers" asked for ppl to try and extend this poem... " I loved you but...."...

I loved you but were we in love?
I wonder what could be the difference?
Were we entities with destinys ofÂ
Growing fonder from a distance?
I was part of you but when we partedÂ
Your codependance still remainedÂ
Demanded we continue what we'd startedÂ
Keeping you ever comfily sustainedÂ
I needed you but what we're needingÂ
Won't be found in one anotherÂ
Neither's all that good at leadingÂ
A fact we were very quick to discoverÂ
I missed you but what we're not missingÂ
That cliche "one that got away"
Other wise we'd just continued risking
Getting caught in matter that's turned grey
