Thank you for the sunshine
On my darkest days,
Thank you for the silver lining
When I'm in a cloudy haze.
Thank you for the things I have
That keep me so amused
Thank you for the talks
Although they make me more confused.
Right out of a story book
A mystery I once read
Like a cat nuzzling my nose
As I hug him in my bed.
So many shades of crazy
Yet so many ways to love.
So dark within the shadows
So I'll light it up with love.
So hardened was my heart
And so I tried to warm it up,
And when I spilt the milk
You were here to refill my cup.
So thank you even though I'm blind
I had to learn a different way
To make my way down to the heart
And light it up for all to play.
