Thanks for the rain
Thanks for the rain
The rain falls on my head today
and so I look up and scream "Hey!"
I'm down here. Don't you see me God?
Can you not see me through the rain?
and feel that I'm in so much pain
to hear no reply from you seems odd.
But God hears every smallest cry
every "When?", "How?", and "Why?"
Even when you think He's left your side.
Know He has you in His hands
and take comfort in His plan
Taking every drop you feel in stride.
When you scream unto the sky
and yet, you still get no reply
Know that all of this is not in vain.
For there's a rainbow on the way,
a flower, and a sunny day,
And there'd be none of this without the rain.
