Poem -

That little girl

There was a little girl that lost her way, Looking for someone to play. That little girl who was lost trying to find her way,

Little did she know that she would never go home again.
That little girl didn’t know where to go,

So she got lost with him,
thinking he would make her grow.

That man she thought she knew, But in reality it was hard to see right through.

Each day he told that little girl that they would never fall apart,
They fitted together, like two pieces of a broken heart.

That little girl should’ve known when she was with him alone,
That he was way into her more than she would of known.
If only she knew, she would’ve run away to find her way back home.

That little girl didn’t know any better,

Thinking it would only happen once, maybe twice.

But she was wrong, she didn’t know it would happen every night.

To that little girl, he made it very clear,

To follow the demands or live in constant fear.

At night, that little girl had to always pretend,

Otherwise it would never end.

That little girl grew up way too fast,
She kept on hoping that it was never going to last.

That little girl wanted the life she could never get back,
She begged and begged but scared she’ll get attacked.

That little girl didn’t know what to do, When she began to see a difference in the man that she thought she knew.
Then it was over and the day finally come,
That little girl wasn’t under his thumb.

That little girl finally became free,
If only she could see,
The strong, brave and most beautiful woman that she could ever be.
