The abandoned house
Alone

Alone and abandoned the house stood bare,
Cracked walls and floorboards
Lots of love it still has to share
It once stood tall once stood proud
Full of happy families joyful and loud
Empty shelves and cupboards
Bare floorboards and walls
No more laughing children
Running down the halls
Vines grow through windows
Grass through the floors
No more cooking in the kitchen
No more banging doors
Scary and dark
Abandoned and alone
No more happy memories
Will it be shown.
Spiders in their webs
A home only for a mouse
Someone needs to come along and tend to this house
READ BETWEEN THE LINES
AND SURELY YOU WILL SEE
THIS POEM IS NOT ABOUT A HOUSE
IT IS REALLY ABOUT ME
