The apple does fall
She stands tall amongst it all,
Taller than the eldest tree.
The tree that bared all of the fruits,
That made her who she was supposed to be.
These fruits were her providers,
Her survival all throughout her life.
She thought that the fruit was enough,
To keep her in touch of sight.
But truthfully these fruits were spoiled,
Dull beneath their skin.
One bite and she was entrapped,
From their bitterness and sin.
She never fully realized,
With life you need to explore.
And look beyond the spoiled fruit,
Because it will unlock so much more.
Yes the fruit sustained her,
Long enough to provide.
But there was no nourishment,
Making it impossible to make strides.
The apple doesn’t fall,
Far enough away from the tree.
At least that’s what she was told,
By those who didn’t believe.
Made her think that the rotten fruit,
Was all that she could eat.
But really outside of this source,
There was a way bigger feast.
The fruit that is poisonous,
Should never be consumed,
Because as soon as it is,
It will make a heart turn towards doom.
Instead she looked at the roots,Â
And seen where they lead.
Because there’s more life,
Way beyond that tree.
She followed  the roots to the ends,
And opened her eyes wide.
She took that leap of faith,
And when she reached something new, she flied.Â
The apple can fall,
far away from the tree.
She just had to have strength,
And broke away free.
She kept on rolling sporadically,
away from all the bad.
Until a spot was reached,
That no longer made her sad.
For no matter where you start,
You can always break that chain.
You just have to be willing,
To fall the furthest away.Â
