Poem -

The Blue Wren

The Blue Wren

Skies fragment as it's sweet song echos through morbid clouds.
Each bright wings (sweep) opens a new pathway.
A change of direction as wind blows
The little Blue Wren finds her place.

Hi Lorna....What a sweet poem with a beautiful picture you painted!  Now I know you have more gifts.  I like to paint and draw too, but my eyesight is going so it is more difficult for me now.  But I appreciate others who do art.  Your poem created the perfect  imagery of a small bird finding her place in this world, against the challenges of wind and finding the direction to go.  Perhaps this blue wren represents the same kind of challenges we have in finding our place in this world as well.  Beautiful!  xo Love n Hugs, Cherie  ;)

Thanks Cheire, my little blue wren painting was picked to go in an actual gallery for a few months earlier this year and I was so pleased.
So I thought I'd write a little poem about finding a a place...no matter how morbid the clouds get never lose your song.
Thanks for your lovely words

All my love lorna xxxx

My Dear Lorna,

You have said so much in just four beautiful lines.
And when I first saw the lovely illustration you created, before knowing it was yours, I thought it was a watercolor study by some well known artist.

On wings of a wren
I soar high into the clouds
Billowing beauty

All my love,
Larry xxx
