Poem -

The Clouds Cry With Me

The Clouds Cry With Me

I stare out from the window pane,
From the pain that is my own.
A single tear falls from my eye,
And then suddenly
And all at once,
I flood this room.

I stare out from the window pane,
From the pain that is my own.
A single raindrop falls in solidarity with my tears,
And then suddenly
And all at once
The clouds cry with me.

I go down to the beach front.
I look out over the water
From the pain that is my own.
The waves crash against the rocks
In unison with my heart against my chest,
And then suddenly
And all at once,
My tears drift me out to sea.

I stare out
From beneath the water,
From the sea that is my own.
One final tear falls from my eye
And as I look up,
Before this ocean I have cried swallows me whole,
The last thing I see is
The clouds cry with me.

Thank you so much. This is the first poem I have been able to write in about 4 years after experiencing endless writer's block, so your comment means a great deal! :)

Hello missymarie...

Welcome to Cosmo!

If I'm going to cry...

I prefer being outside on rainy days...

The tears blend in well...

Tears are healing for the soul...

Beautiful write!

Thank you for sharing...

You write from the depth of your heart . Finding the words with such meaning. So we can walk beside you as we read.
Keep it raw keep it pure keep it deep … As you do xx I love your style & all that you write
You remind me of someone

After reading this again, I like it even more than before. Perhaps by reading it without haste, one feels the emotions with the writer. Great writing, well rounded poem.
