abundant diction
charming the gormless
but what happens
when masquerades slip
only to see
what the boy can't handle.

yet all we see

youths white knight
deceived by flattery
your abstract thought
bears to us all

of public disservice
championing the cause
of self entitlement
life's early promise
lost to a struggle
that the boy can't handle.
The clown prince
of febrile populism
the cause of choice
may give you comfort
yet our children's needs
must wither and die
