The Day You Died

August 19th 2018

The Day You Died

The day you died,
   oh Makayla,
         why
The phone call, The cry,
Forever burned into our.                 souls
    Oh Makayla why?
A pain not everyone.                      knows
the loss, the hole, the.               emptiness,
       shivering cold,
Not Makayla please No!!

The day you died our.       lives forever changed,
nothing will ever be the.                  same
         Day and night,
        Night and Day,
     Still so much pain
        oh Makayla
     who do we blame
   for taking you away
So tragically and at such young age
Not Makayla....No Way

like crisp dew
On a sun filled morning.
Gushing from her heart...
