Poem -

the dear proximity of the harmonious conversing of our hands during the long morning walk after years of ageing together and loving each other more and more every day

the dear proximity of the harmonious conversing of our hands during the long morning walk after years of ageing together and loving each other more and more every day

I love you; I love you more
I love you more than that
no, I love you more
I love you more than more
   than more
no, I love you more
I love you far beyond anything in the world
I love you…  more

it’s not just my voice saying it
read my lips, it’s written there
      it says I love you
look at my eyes
can you see it? it’s there as well!
in my eyes of love
      it says I love you

I love you
I truly do! far beyond anything  I know
   in the whole world
that’s why my hand
cannot let go of your hand
    because it is cold and
    your hand needs my I-love-yous
    to keep warmed

(my heart screamed to your ears
    boom boom I love you
    you laughed out loud and
then you kissed me on the cheek
that's more or less how
    the long walk went)
