The dream of a Mortal

A dream has haunted me for so long,
A sound that chills me to the bone,
In the arms of a silent angel,
I feel myself for the last time.

I tremble and struggle through the cold clouds,
Just to see your face,
But you, indifferent, pass before me
Taking even time with you.

I spare my last breath
Just to feel your silence,
You throw me into oblivion
And my heart knows the pain.

For now I am a past,
A bird lost among verses,
An angel fallen to earth,
And in his heart, forever, enshrined.
