The Dust Rolls

Galloping on my palimino the dust rolls
Across the valley of the forgotten, the dead of shadows
I eat from a platter of tin of beans and rabbit. we brought we hunted
Across a wood fire, we gather round and tell stories and sing
It's the old west that we can't get enough of
It"s the old west we can't pretend we are who we are
Fill up the mugs while I kiss her face
In this saloon she shall  be my friend
The dust rolls and the wind blows into another ghost town
As my boots are heavy and my money bags are empty
I will ride. through the night to another town
Where the dust rolls and the spirits rise
To tell another story where I am the one who never hides I will ride back to take her for my bride
The lust of the rolling dust at my feet  shall meet.us again

As the dust blows across my face I am ever living in a phantom way
