The dusty magician

Isn’t dust the strangest thing 
tho invisible in the air
the blighter forms a film each day
that covers everywhere

I know it’s fine particles of solid matter
But goodness gracious isn’t it a pest
As you lay your head upon the sofa cushion
feeling like a little rest

Then what do you spy
dam dust again tho it’s only a tiny bit
Hells bells you did the dusting this morning
with your hand shoved in the dust mit

I’m convinced I have a magician
who conjures up dust from thin air
The moment when I’m not looking
he sprinkles it everywhere

But I’m plotting my plan to catch him 
& God help you if I do
I’ll send him along to your house
so he can share our dust with you
