The Enchantment of First Love

Love, oh Love, thou art a beguiling specter,
A whisper in the night, a shadow in the day.
Thou dost creep upon the heart, unseen, unheard,
Yet thy presence is felt in every beat, every sigh.
Thou art the siren’s song, sweet and alluring,
Drawing the unsuspecting souls into thy embrace.
With a glance, a touch, a fleeting smile,
Thou dost weave thy spell, entrancing and divine.
Behold the young boy, his heart unguarded,
His eyes wide with the wonder of first love.
He sees her, the maiden fair, and in that moment,
The world fades away, and only she remains.
Her laughter, like the tinkling of crystal bells,
Her smile, a beacon in the darkest night.
He is ensnared, bewitched, by her very presence,
And in his heart, a fire begins to burn.
And she, the maiden, feels the stirrings too,
A flutter in her chest, a warmth in her soul.
She sees him, the boy, with eyes so full of dreams,
And in that gaze, she finds her own heart’s song.
Love, thou art a gentle thief,
Stealing hearts with naught but a whisper.
Thou dost bind them with invisible chains,
Chains of longing, of desire, of sweet torment.
In the garden of their hearts, thou dost plant thy seed,
And with each passing day, it grows and blooms.
A rose, delicate and fragrant, yet with thorns,
A reminder that love, though sweet, can also sting.
They walk together, hand in hand,
Their hearts beating in perfect harmony.
In the silence of the night, beneath the stars,
They share their dreams, their hopes, their fears.
Love, thou art a mirror,
Reflecting the soul’s deepest desires.
In each other’s eyes, they see themselves,
And in that reflection, they find their truth.
But beware, for love is also a tempest,
A storm that can rage with fierce intensity.
It can lift thee to the heavens, or dash thee to the rocks,
Leaving thee breathless, broken, yet yearning for more.
Oh, Love, thou art a paradox,
A blend of joy and sorrow, of ecstasy and pain.
Yet, in thy embrace, they find their purpose,
Their reason for being, their reason for living.
So let them dance, these young lovers,
In the moonlight’s tender glow.
Let them taste the sweetness of first love,
And know that in its fleeting beauty, they are truly alive.
For love, oh Love, thou art the essence of life,
The heartbeat of the universe, the song of the soul.
And in thy embrace, they find their destiny,
A journey of the heart, a journey of love.
