The Face of Death

The Face of Death

Through pain and toil,

we have learned,

that war is forever,

within us burned.

there never was a place,

for us to live,

in god's grace.

we have earned war and famine,

we have earned hunger,

and death, we have taken upon ourselves to deliver,

no place for us,

in our greed,

lest society amend it's creed,

andΒ eachΒ homeΒ we pillage,

each foul deed,

burn every croft and village,

we are safe and sound for now,

but post-mortum

we're in a heap of trouble.

if we aren't careful,

down go we on the double.
