The Flyers Are Flying High

The Flyers Are Flying High

We’ve got some bragging rights in Dayton, for our college basketball team;
Is flying high across the nation, the realization of our dreams!
They’ve lost just only two games, to teams in the top ten;
Both of them in overtime, they’re hoping to never lose again!
.
Their winning streak now is fifteen, they’ll try to make history;
By winning the National Championship, in March’s hoops tourney!
Is this “Madness”, or a reality, that they actually have a shot;
Lot’s of people think it’s possible, with all the talent that they’ve got!
.
Their superstar is Obi Toppin, recognized across the U.S.A.;
As one of the greatest college players, in basketball today!
But lots of others all contribute, the team so very balanced;
Many opponents who were to be a challenge, this team has soundly trounced!
.
So we fans all wait with baited breath, for March Madness to begin;
Our beloved Dayton Flyers, six games they need to win!
To bring us home the trophy, their opposition all outmanned;
The NCAA Champions, the best of all the land!
.
.
Our Flyers fly high
Seeking historic greatness
The best of the best
