The Forgotten

The Forgotten

Alone it sits within four walls,
No one visits, no one calls,
There it stays all alone it be,
With no one to call and no one to see.

It has many a story but nobody to hear,
It’s been hurt so much, ‘‘tis people it’s fear,
For a long time it’s sat all alone watching close,
But this poor forgotten has no purpose.

Time passes by and so do the others,
It’s loneliness so strong, in fact it smoothers,
The forgotten grows weary of its void where it lives,
But still no invite, for nobody gives.

It’s plight will continue as others still pass,
This poor forgotten with a heart of glass,
Must sit and smile and make all believe,
It was it’s own fault,
by it’s hand,
this did weave.

Hey LUCY!!!.....I REALLY like the way you use 'The forgotten' as a singular character...... but the inference that it is a mighty representative of the All!!..... it sets the tone for a VERY haunting loneliness that is agonizing its way through existence!!........ well conceived and BEAUTIFULLY delivered girlfriend......TRULY & HIGHLY creative!!.......ALL STARS!!.... well done dear poet sister!!.....LOVE & ROCKETS!!......T xo
