The glance

The glance

I followed you into the coffee shop
Your perfume, entrapped my whole,
I saw you sit & make yourself comfortable
As I sat nearby & buttered my roll,
The sunlight shone from your hair
No one had noticed your beauty & place,
I began to finish my order quietly
Our eyes met, cheek red on your face,
I longed to sit by you, maybe ask your name
Maybe find out more at a later date,
You turned your head back, sipped your tea
And then entered your pretty red haired mate,
Again I see, the only one I long to know
To sit & talk to you to see your star sign,
Every week I see you, I'm a stranger to you
I long to talk, to see a smile, even maybe be mine,
You both left the shop, to go on your travels
As I wave goodbye in my mind, one day we'll see,
Another day I saw my mystery secret lover
As there's only one of us intwined, basically just me.
