The Go Go Girls

The Go Go Girls

Yesterday I wrote about the “Kim Sisters”, it’s the “Go Go Girls” today;
Same scenario, club closed early, people still wanted more to play!
They brought the entertainers to our house, for an all night Hullabaloo;
Again Norman was staying over, and we knew just what to do!
.
It was only three weeks before that, since the last wonderful Shindig;
We came out and saw the dancers, then we knew we had a gig!
The Go Go Girls were taller, one was a gorgeous Amazon;
She was boogying with my buddy Norman, who was getting his groove on!
.
Joey Dee and The Starlighters, was the music we played most;
The “Peppermint Twist” was our favorite, while “Shout” that of the host!
The party lasted longer, almost till six a.m.;
It hurt bad when it finally ended, and we said goodbye to them!
.
For again we both had crushes, on these lovely luscious dames;
But by the time they left the party, they’d probably forgotten both our names!
For we were young and impressionable, thinking we really had a chance;
To go back with them to their hotel rooms, for a little bit romance!
.
.
                            The great Go Go Girls
                 Went went right out the front door
                         With no second thoughts
